    What is it all about?

    I created the 7x7x7 protocol when I needed to become functionally strong for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. When I would do the normal gym routine, I would be so depleted that I would NOT have great BJJ training sessions. So, I went on a hunt for the best regimen that would allow me to focus 90% of my efforts on BJJ. After a lot of trial and error, I came up with the 7x7x7 training protocol. The focus was on developing the philosophy of quality over quantity, starting with 1 quality repetition first. Then scaling the volume slowly over time. What I found after 6 months of doing this was that I began to optimize other aspects of my health such as diet. Eventually, I ended up getting a six pack (which I never had before!). More importantly, I ended up gaining the endurance and strength gains I needed for my sport!
